We started our Lenten series, "Truly Alive!" this Sunday, looking at resurrections in the Scriptures. Today we covered 1 Kings 17.17-24, as Elijah raises a widow's son to life. We learned that the God who raises the dead is one who can be trusted with all things in life. God is a God who empowers us to be truly alive, understanding that such life comes from trusting in Him for all things. Listen in...

For our last message in the series "This we believe!" on the Apostles' Creed, we learn to long for three wonderful gifts God offers us: forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of a body God will restore to the faithful, and everlasting life with Him!

Today's Whit's End emphasizes the need for Jesus to be the protector of our hearts and faith so that our lives aren't "reduced to rubble."

In this next to last Sunday in "This we believe!" we learned from the Apostles' Creed that the church is holy (set apart), catholic (global in scope), and a communion of saints (both those in Christ, here; and those with Christ, there in heaven). All of this is true when founded upon the confession that Jesus is Lord of heaven and earth. May we hold fast to that confession!

Today in "This we believe!" we covered "I believe in the Holy Spirit" from the Apostles' Creed. Our theme revolved around our worship of the Triune God (as trinity), understanding from the Scriptures that God is over us (the Father), among us (the Son), and within us (the Holy Spirit). The Holy Spirit is leading us and guiding us into all truth as the Advocate, enabling us to live holy lives that please God. Check it out!

This Sunday's "This we believe!" message covered On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. We learned of Jesus' defeat of death, His confirmation of His reign at the right hand of God, and His role in judging the living and the dead for whether or not they honored Him. Once again, the creed is cause for WORSHIP!
