We learned this Sunday that Psalm 23 is more than a prayer for a moment, but is more of a prayer of momentum. It is a psalm for living—a daily encouragement to praise the Good Shepherd who calls us to be the people of His pasture (Psalm 95.6-7)!

Pastor Whit challenged us today with doing the Lord's work the Lord's way, "casting our nets" to where He directs, the same as Jesus did for the disciples in John 21. May we be faithful so that we can be fruitful.

We learned today that Easter isn't a holiday that we pack up at the end of its celebration day and put it on a shelf for next year. Easter is a constant state of celebration and understanding. The Disciples in Acts 5.27-32 were commanded and compelled to obey God and witness to these things. When the word of God is given and obeyed, and the witness of His mighty power is something you can testify to, the kingdom advances!

The cross was never intended for us to misuse by taking advantage of it. The cross frees us to be faithful. May we honor God through the gift of the cross!

HE IS RISEN! This morning we celebrate Easter Sunday with John 20.1-10. The disciples will understand the Scriptures through witnessing the resurrection of Jesus Christ, making them "witnesses to these things" (from the book of Acts). Armed with the word of God and an encounter with Jesus Christ, the world will know that Jesus is Lord and has saved us from our sins. HALLELUJAH!
